Supreme Court to Hear Prop 8 Case on March 26

The Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments on the constitutionality of Calfornia's Proposition 8 on March 26. They also will consider the Defense of Marriage Act the next day.

The schedule makes it all the more likely that the high court's decision in the same-sex marriage cases will not be delivered until June, as it finishes up its term.

The court agreed in December to take the cases, although they also said that they will consider the issue of whether same-sex marriage opponents have standing to challenge lower court decisions.
