Obama to Host White House Screening of "1600 Penn"
President Obama is giving an endorsement of sorts to NBC's new comedy "1600 Penn," about a dysfunctional first family, by hosting a screening on Wednesday afternoon at the White House.
The co-creator of the comedy, which debuts Thursday, is Jon Lovett, who worked as a speechwriter in the White House during Obama's first term.
The White House said that the screening will include cast and crew from the series, but it offered no other details.
The show stars Bill Pullman, Jenna Elfman, Josh Gad and Martha MacIsaac. NBC has the pilot online, as well as a short interview with Lovett.
