W&W Morning Run: The Liberal Meaning Behind "The Muppets"

Conservatives on Capitol Hill has railed against the "Muppet lobby," so it can't come as much of a surprise that Disney's latest Muppet movie would be greeted with suspicion.

Fox Business host Eric Bolling suggested as such on his Fox Business program, claiming that the movie's villain makes it anti-oil and anti-business. The conservative watchdog Media Research Center last week charged that the movie is taking on Hollywood's liberal agenda, as has "Cars 2," "The Day After Tomorrow" and other pics that depict oil and gas executives as evil. Iris Somberg wrote in a post, "How sadly predictable that the villain is the perennial bogeyman of liberal environmentalists, and how sadly telling that the writers politicized a children's movie. Again."

Romney Does Sunday: At last, Mitt Romney has agreed to appear on a Sunday morning talk show, "Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace." His appearance on Dec. 18 will come after a rather disastrous interview with Fox News' Bret Baier. The New York Times reports that this will be Romney's first appearance on a Sunday morning talk show in 20 months.
