Voight at Tea Party Rally: Obama's "Sub-Conscious Programming"

Hollywood has show up on the Hill to lobby health care --- but this time it's from the right.

John Ratzenberger and Jon Voight winged it from the Twin Cities to D.C., where this morning they participated in the Tea Party rally on Capitol Hill to protest the health care reform bills as well as government spending.

From Politico's Jonathan Allen: "Voight invoked Rev. Jeremiah Wright in his speech, saying “the lies and deception are blatant... Maybe it was the 20 years of sub-conscious programming by Rev Wright to damn America." " Voight spoke of Obama's "radical Chicago tactics," a theme he's echoed in newspaper editorials and interviews since last year's campaign.

Per Jake Tapper, the White House responded to the protest with a sense of amusement. "I'm sure there's a Jon Voight joke in here somewhere, given he was one of the featured speakers, but…my father always told me my mouth would get me in trouble, and I have a feeling if I acted on the line that I'd like to give you, I'm almost positive that it would." said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.

Jon Voight has really gone off the deep end by aligning himself with these right-wing wackos. I will never watch a Voight movie again, not that I would anyway because they are so awful. And to think I used to like Voight because he supports Israel. Then I thought about why -- because his Christian beliefs mean that all the Jews must return to Israel for the second coming of Christ and armageddon when all those Jews will go to hell! Thanks but no thanks Jonny boy.

Josh,rwp:
You are morons. That is all.

Jon Voight made more sense in that 3:57 than all the Democratic Party has in the past year.

Josh...Whackos? If that's not the pot calling the kettle black--I don't know what is!!! Voight has more class in his little finger than you'll ever drudge up. So sawwy.

Jon Voight off the deep end? An extremist Right-wing nut?

The extremists are the radical Marxists in the White House, led by our "Dear Leader."

Voight is extreme is that he's against Socialism? Or is it because he believes in the Constitution?

Explain to me where the government has the authority to dictate that a citizen buy a certain product, that they "approve" of, then throw you in jail if you don't buy it.

Nancy Pelosi calls that a "Christmas present for the American people." I call it tyranny.
