Fox Will Not Broadcast Obama Speech
As expected, Fox will not broadcast President Obama's speech on Wednesday.
Here's a statement from the network: “The Fox Broadcasting Company will not air the Presidential Address to Congress on Wednesday, September 9 at 8:00 PM (ET). FOX’s sister networks, Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network will air the presidential address in its entirety. FOX will alert viewers with an on-screen graphic at the top of the 8:00 PM (ET) hour that the presidential address is available on Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network.”

THANK YOU FOX! He loves his the sound of his voice too much. And he chooses the night new Glee appears? No way! I hope the other stations take a stand against this, but they won't, they'll lose millions, and probably push off other good shows.

Since BO can't tell the truth either because he doesn't know what the truth is thorough his own ignorance or he is reality challenged or he perfers lying, watching his speach would be a total waste of time.

It's about damn time that a major network declined to feed Dear Leader's insatiable ego. Bravo!

I am tired of his screwing up TV every week so he can just say the same thing he said in the daily presser in prime time.

No hard feelings , Mr. President , but until you and the 'czars' nationalize ALL the networks , you have to allow FOX to make-up some of the lost revenue , because of the Glen Beck boycotting ..... frank k. (N.Va.)

I have already heard his speech - over and over and over and over and over and over......................
If it was his resignation speech, I might stop celebrating for a moment or two to listen.

Fair and balanced? As an officer in the military I care about what our Commander-in-Chief has to say (whether I agree with it or not). I'm pissed at FOX. Live a life of ignorance and watch So You Think You Can Dance while we're in Afghanistan without the opportunity to see what's going on at home. I don't need to see some no-talent celebrity trying to dance.

When Sarah speaks, Obama wee wees.

ArmyLT, it's pretty obvious you didn't read the article.
Fox is carrying the speech on FoxNews AND Fox Business; therfore they just don't see the need to pre-empt their broadcast station as well. If you want to watch the speech on a Fox affiliate, all you have to do is turn on Fox News or Fox Business.

Army LT: If you honestly care what Obama has to say then please tune into one of the other networks. I find your outrage a bit over the top.

I have to agree with Fox. What makes Obama think he can demand so much attention. This is what? His 5th Prime time demand? At this point in his presidency, GWB had held more pressers but not yet one in Prime Time.
And for ArmyLt. Thanks for your service but is Fox the only station you are receiving? IF the others had said they were not carring it, Fox might have. Who knows? If they were to only station with it on, it might even get fair ratings. But why tie up four broadcast channels with the same canned speech that can be read the next day?

I hope the other networks refuse to not show the republican response.

as an officer in the military? stop your squawking and listen to the drone on the radio. honestly the man is soooo boring who the hell would want to give up dancing with the stars?
Posted by: David | September 04, 2009 at 08:01 PM
Sam, the other networks never show the Republican response anyway.

After the last several televised speeches were he was caught lying to Americans, called a great cop stupid and claimed ridiculous notions about doctors doing unneeded surgery to make themselves quick cash, I don't think anyone wants to hear the same pointless talking points from Obama again.
Just post the text to the internet and we'll read it later.

Will his wacky czars be there?
Pull back the curtain and you have the Wizard of Oz and some of his wacky czars leading us to full government control of every aspect of our life’s.
Van Jones, green jobs "czar" — admits he's a communist and radical, race baiter, anti-America, 9/11 Truther, Eco-extremist nut-case
John Holdren, science "czar" — proposed "compulsory sterilization (drinking water so woman can’t reproduce, as long as it doesn’t affect men)" and forced abortions to control population
Cass Sunstein, regulatory "czar" — proposed bans on hunting, eating meat and proposed that your dog be allowed to have an attorney in court. And a fairness doctrine for the Internet, which he has since stepped away from for now
Carol Browner, global warming "czar" — was part of Socialist International, a group for "global governance"
Ezekiel Emmanuel, health care adviser — proponent of the Complete Lives System, which puts values on lives based mostly by age, pull the plug on granny
Jeff Jones, FCC, Shutdown free speech, feels freedom of speech is overrated, one of the leaders of the Apollo Alliance radical group, Jones and the Apollo Alliance wrote most of the stimulus bill. The bill that was passed without anybody reading it.
Bills are now being written by unelected officials.

I think it's pretty obvious ArmyLT is just a liberal troll using anonymous cover to act outraged at FOX. Is FOX the only channel you receive? It will be on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX Business , and AFN.

If he wants to run infomercials, he should pay for air time.

Army Lt. You must be behind a desk somewhere out of the line of fire. Maybe a porcelain prince that David Hackworth referenced in his books. You listen to your Commander In Chief and pay attention to what this non military person says and takes some notes you may learn something.

Thank you fox,my millitary brother is going to be here and if he seen this guy speaking he would blast our TV set.Read a terrorist a field manual then give him to some FBI agent after reading him his rights feeding his face and wow does he need a cigarette too?How about an air conditioned cell a six pack al jezzera and a magic flying carpet to sit on.That millitary guy above must be an officer who hangs at the WH.The grunts in the scorching desert have a different opinion of this president and his administration from what I have being hearing.Right on fox you rock.

hey asshole, Fox news will carry it. Just not Fox network , ya know the one with the simpsons and shit? Fox news and fox business, plus cnn and msnbc and abc and cbs , 60% of all channels will have him on, and even foxnews will be sucking his dick the whole night. Just not as much as the others

So what! This man has had nothing to say all year. More platitudes and lies. Why should we stop the world for this president to speak? We shouldn't. I think we have all had enough of this man constantly running for president for the last 2 years. He hasn't really stopped. He hasn't governed.

To all of you great hero's, I thank you. Fox does ROCK! Fox does the investigation's that the other networks won't do. I love them for it. I think as a journalist there should be pride in your work, but I could be wrong. None of the news networks show the pride of honesty and fair reporting that you see in the anchors at Fox news.
