The Dog Days of August Pt. 2

Sarah Palin, writing in Facebook on President Obama's health care reform plan: "And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."

There's some reaction here, as well as Time's Mark Halperin's take on the "mobs" at town halls here. He writes, "Debating whether a given mobster is "real" or "astroturf" is like debating who the third-best professional wrestler of the 1980s was."

Oh, if only she could read and actually had read the proposed legislation. However, I doubt she did; I did - at least HR3200, nothing in it at all regarding death panels and levels of productivity in society. Is she indicating that her son (she seems to have no problem using him as a prop and to illustrate her needs) has no productive use in society? I hope not, because he deserves more than that.
