White Knots at Grammys
Dave Stewart and Dave Grohl wore white ribbons at Sunday's Grammys, a gesture of support for marriage equality.
Organizers at WhiteKnot.org, led by Frank Voci, now have their sights set on the Oscar red carpet, making a statement in support of same-sex marriage in the same way that past attendees have worn red ribbons to draw attention to the AIDS and pink ribbons for breast cancer research.
Grohl told E!'s Mark Malkin on Saturday, “You know what that’s about? It's I believe in love and I believe in equality and I believe in marriage equality.”
Perhaps it is fitting that Grohl appeared in the red carpet at the MusicCares event on Saturday wearing the white ribbon and posing for pictures with Pat Boone, one of the entertainment industry's few public proponents of Proposition 8. Most famously, in December, Boone compared Prop 8 protesters to the terrorists in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Rick Jacobs' Courage Campaign has posted new video in support of same-sex marriage, in the lead up to oral arguments before the state Supreme Court on March 5.

"Most famously, in December, Boone compared Prop 8 protesters to the terrorists in Mumbai."
That's almost as offensive as using your own kids as props to further your political agenda.
