Obama's Chief of Staff: Rahm Emanuel

MSNBC reports that Rahm Emanuel has accepted Barack Obama's offer was offered to serve as Baracjk Obama's chief of staff.

The Illinois congressman is a familiar face in the entertainment community. His brother, Ari Emanuel, is a partner at Endeavor Agency and raised money for Obama's campaign.

Rahm Emanuel also helped introduce Obama to Andy Spahn, the political consultant who represents Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg, back when Obama was a state senator. The connection eventually led to the DreamWorks trio hosting Obama's first major Hollywood fund-raiser as a presidential candidate.

Update: MSNBC has backtracked and says that Obama has made the offer but Emanuel has not yet accepted.
