McCain Clinches Nomination

His win in Texas apparently puts him over the top. Coupled with Mitt Romney's delegates, McCain has 1,205 delegates, passing the 1,191 mark to clinch the nomination.

McCain is to visit the White House tomorrow to receive the endorsement of President Bush, NBC News reports.

On the Democratic side, races are too close to call in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island.

The Clinton campaign, meanwhile, just held a conference call charging "disturbing" instances at Texas precincts where the Obama campaign took precinct materials and locked out Clinton supporters at caucus sites.

Clinton's state campaign director, Ace Smith, also said that the state party's election hotline was jammed. He called it "undemocratic behavior."

One of the more bizarre moments on the press call came when Obama's chief counsel Bob Bauer got in on the call, and charged that the Clinton campaign only challenged the caucus process when it is losing.
