MySpace Winners: Obama and Paul

Barack Obama and Ron Paul were the winners in the first-ever MySpace Presidential Primary, with some 150,000 responses in the online voting conducted Tuesday and Wednesday.

Given that they also have some of the most fervent followings online, it can't be a huge surprise. Obama has 208,352 friends to Hillary Clinton's 157,858 and John Edwards' 49,722. Paul has 108,005 to Rudy Giuliani's 10,199 and Mike Huckabee's 22,203.

Actually, it wasn't even close.

Obama 46%
Clinton 31%
Edwards 8%

Paul     37%
Giuliani 18%
Huckabee 16%

Obama and Paul also led in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The top issues cited were the economy and jobs, the war in Iraq and health care.
