Bill Clinton Blames Media for Obama "Fairytale"

It was an emotional day for the Clintons on the campaign trail, after Hillary Clinton choked up at a campaign event.

Later in the day, Bill Clinton once again lashed out at the media for giving Barack Obama a free pass.

According to Latest Politics, he said at a Dartmouth College town hall meeting, "It is wrong that Senator Obama got to go through 15 debates trumpeting his superior judgment and how he had been against the war in every year, enumerating the years, and never got asked one time--not once, 'Well, how could you say that when you said in 2004 you didn't know how you would have voted on the resolution? You said in 2004 there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war. And you took that speech you're now running on off your Web site in 2004. And there's no difference in your voting record and Hillary's ever since.' Give me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairytale I've ever seen."

Hillary Clinton's tearing up was almost instantly analyzed and scrutinized --- will it help or hurt her. I actually thought it showed her human side, but it is somewhat perilous this year to declare single instances of big shifts in the campaign.

I think the commentary regarding Hillary's tearing-up is Much Ado About Nothing. Unfortunately, the punditry has too often expressed unrealistic and shallow reactions regarding Hillary's perfectly natural response to the rough and tumble of a difficult campaign.

This is not comparable to the Muskie episode and we are not the same society or culture. Moreover, I would be willing to wager that there have been many poltical figures, both men and women, who have reacted in similar fashion except that they were allowed privacy.

She should not be villified, punished or deliberately humiliated for her humanity.

I LOVE YOU MRS CLITON
I VOTE FOR YOU.
YOU ARE EXLANTE INTELIGENT WOMEN TO STRATING THIS CONTRY UP; CONTIUNG YOUR CAMPAGNE. PEOPLE ARE VERY JELOSE OF YOU.
BECOSE YOU ONLY PERSONE TO STRETE THIS CONTRY UP.BECOSE YOU HAVE INAF EXSPERINGZ AND NOLEGY TO RIGIUNET AMERICA LIKE BEFOR
INTO 1990 WHEN YOUR OSBEN WHASE PRESIDENTE?
CONTINUA YOUR CAMPAGNE I HAVE LOT FRENDES VOTING FOR YOU.

I think Senator Clinton gets an unfair wrap from all the press too - this IS her emotional side, a huge risk for a woman candidate, who is obviously moved, and under extreme stress and exhaustion -- and she handled it with complete grace and cogent intelligence.

If I was an American democrat I'd be voting for Hillary Clinton.
