The Final Swings Through Town

Campaign of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are billing their appearances on Monday as their last visits to Los Angeles before voting starts.

Of course, once Iowa and New Hampshire are out of the way, the candidates are expected to be in California quite a bit more. But it will be a different race.

Judging by the venues and host committees, both events are aimed at younger professionals.

Obama will appear at the Gibson Ampitheater on Monday night for a low-dollar fund-raiser ($50 per person, $25 for students) with performances by the Goo Goo Dolls and Ne-Yo. Since my post last week, the campaign has added co-hosts Jessica Biel, Lawrence Bender and Anthony Kiedis.

At roughly the same time, Clinton will appear at a $250-per-person fund-raiser at the nightclub Social Hollywood.
