Lynne Cheney on "Daily Show"

Jon Stewart's interview with Lynne Cheney could make you cringe at times --- but it was certainly one of the more interesting pairings on the recent talk show circuit.

She brought in a Darth Vader doll to present to Stewart, then quipped that her husband bites heads off of live chickens. Stewart got his own digs in, opening up a page from her new book to show substantial portions redacted.

Cheney defended the war in Iraq, pressing for patience and comparing the Iraqi government's problems to that of the United States in the 1780s. She did reiterate her opposition to President Bush's push for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, as well as her husband's statements that gays should be allowed to enter into whatever kind of relationship they wanted.
