Violence on the Table: Networks are suing the government over its crackdown on broadcast indecency, but they may be facing a battle on another front. The FCC is about to issue a report that shows how Congress could regulate excessive violence on TV in the way that it prohibits broadcasting indecency, according to the Los Angeles Times. The report also is expected to show that violence actually does short-term harm to children. Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) says he will reintroduce a bill that would give the government the authority to regulate violent content.

Run Ruled Out?: Al Gore tells the BBC, "I can't imagine in any circumstance to run for office again."

Hillary Endorsement: ABC news says that Hillary Clinton has secured the endorsement of Black Entertainment Television founder Robert Johnson, even though he has supported Barack Obama in the past.

Daily Show of the Right: Mixed reviews for "The 1/2 Hour news Hour," "24" executive producer Joel Surnow's Fox news alternative to "The Daily Show." But Surnow says it's time for a show that features alternative material. "There's an audience out there with an appetite for this stuff," Surnow says. "And they're hungry." Here's a You Tube clip.

Details, Details: Barack Obama appears at a rally on Tuesday at the Rancho Cienega Sports Complex before heading to the fund raiser at the Beverly Hilton...Hillary Clinton's big March 24 gala will be at the home of Ron Burkle...But all 08ers in the Senate could be forced to alter their schedules out here next week, depending on what happens in the debate Saturday over a resolution on the war in Iraq.
